I used to see them chanting something before doing the namaskar…… i dont know exactly… but used to be sanskrit words,,,,, i shall mention, but pardon me , as its memory thats 38 yrs old…. archikam, bhuvanam, yasya ….. something like this and then they would do the namaskar….. do u have anything to confirm this???!!!! You can also try looking into the mirror and correcting yourself. once you have he corrections, you are free to practice any number of times. I’m 26 years old and interested to learn Baratanatyam and I’ve attend to few classes but I cannot stay longer in araimandi position. My legs were not strong and start to shake after few minutes. I don’t know how to prevent it. After few classes I found that I cannot give my full attention because of my knee problem I stopped learning Baratanatyam.
