Kangula Hand Gesture (Mudra)

In kangula, the ring finger in bent while the other fingers are stretched out.

The viniyoga shloka:

lakuchasya falay balakinkinyaam Ghantikarthakay

Chakoray kramukay balakuchay kalharakay tatha

chatakay nalikaray cha kangulo yujyantay karaha

Kangula Mudra can be used to denote the following

  • lakuchasya falay: To represent Lakuca fruit
  • balakinkinyaam : Bells worn by children
  • Ghantikarthakay: Bell
  • Chakoray: Chakora bird
  • kramukay: Betel-nut tree
  • balakuchay : The bosoms of young maiden
  • kalharakay : White Lilly flower
  • chatakay : Caataka bird. (Skylark)
  • nalikaray : Coconut
