Swastika Hand Gesture (Mudra)

We get the swastika pose when both the palms in pataka are crossed at the wrists.

swastika

lets take a look at the viniyoga shloka: (uses)

Patakayoh Sanniyuktaha karayormanibandayoho

saiyogena swastikakhyo

The shloka says that swastika denotes a Crocodile

My imagination says it can be used

To say “No”
To show a blocked road or a passage
To show imprisonment

On this symbol many books were written, so this mudra adds to common knowledge. Some scholars interpret it as a solar cross, as such the idea could be traceable back some 75.000 years to South Africa, discovered from arial sight. See solar (ashtanga) cross in “An Extract From Adam’s Calendar – The Book”
