I am planning to join the classes to learn Bharatanatyam.... I had been during my school days... Later had tried to go to classes last year.. but didnt work out due to office work and travelling between office, class and home...
Now I am again planning to join.... But there is one issue now... I am planning for the kid now... will it be safe if i join the classes???
Please suggest.......
Thanks in advance...

Dear Pushpanjali,

Doctor's advice to keep doing what you have been doing and not get into any new activities while expecting. So if you have been dancing regularly you can continue else, you can get back after 3 or 4 months post delivery.
I see you are still planning, please consult your gynac.

Thanks,
Anjali

Hi ,
I have joined Bharatanatayam classes since June 2013. I am planning to have a second baby now. I still would like to continue dancing, but I heard from some friends and also my teacher that Bharatanatayam is not good for the baby. Apparently the posture and stamping could give jerks to the uterus and could be harmful for the baby.
I have searched a lot for this online, but I couldn't find anything which says its true.
I would like to ask you or anyone who has suggestions about whether I should continue dancing ?
Please let me know your inputs
Thank you

-Deepali
