Onlinebharatanatyam launched in Russian

October 15th, 2008 by Anjali

I am happy to announce that our site onlinebharatanatyam.com has been launched in Russian thanks to efforts by Nina Iskvarina. Nina who has been a regular visitor to our blog is taking up this initiative to translate the site to Russian. Here is what she has to say about the initiative:

I live in Samara, Russia. At first, like many Russian girls, I knew classic Indian dance by the films. But in 90ths it was quite impossible to receive any serious information of this art. And only with Internet I could learn and compare different styles of classical Indian dance. I liked Bharatanatyam most of all. That’s why, when I found Anjali Nandan’s site, I was just happy. Hers Bharatanatyam lessons are represented in a simple, accessible and benevolent form. During exploration Russian resources dedicated to Bharatanatyam, I didn’t
find any educational among them. So I decided to translate OnlineBharatanatyam.com. I’ve got the permission for this work and now I’d like to introduce some results. I hope they’ll give you the same joy of learning Bharatanatyam as I felt
.”

Thank you Nina. I am sure this initiative of yours will help many. To visit our Russian link click here.

I also take this opportunity to thank all the readers for having encouraged me all along. Together we can make this place a rich learning resource.
